Does God judge the nations? Will He judge our political and religious leaders? Will He judge those who reject His rule and who laugh at, spit upon, and mistreat His people? Will the Almighty be your judge? Equally important: Does God, judging all things, generously reward the righteous while punishing evildoers?

Almost 2000 years ago the Jews rejected Jesus, The Messiah, and sought to kill Him. Because of their unbelief and their grievous sin, in 70 AD—just as was prophesied in advance by Christ—Roman troops under Titus invaded Israel and utterly ravaged the temple. The city of Jerusalem was demolished, and tens of thousands of Jews were banished. God's judgement had fallen on Israel.

This cataclysmic event is recorded in history. But, does God still judge today? In his thought-provoking book offered by this ministry, God's Final Warning to America, John McTernan documents that, in fact, many modern-day wars, famines, plagues, earthquakes, volcanos, floods, and other calamities are judgements from God.

Earthquakes in Assisi Italy

From Assisi, Italy, has come astonishing proof that God is judging men today for their evil and wicked ways. On September 26, 1997, two damaging earthquakes struck central Italy. Ten people were killed, dozens injured and about 12,000 were left homeless. The human toll was heavy, but the Catholic Church and the Italian government were especially concerned about the problems wreaked on the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi.

The historic church at Assisi, with its renowned frescos and renaissance paintings, suffered monumental damage. Debris and rubble poured down from the roof and ceiling onto the altar area below, crushing two Franciscan monks and leaving the sanctuary a wreck. A Vatican spokesman estimated that the monetary damages added up in the millions of dollars. Pope John Paul II immediately appealed to Catholic faithful to donate money to a special fund set up to rebuild the Basilica and have it ready for use by the dawning of the year 2000, the advent of the New Millennium.

Was the earthquake that collapsed the roof and ceiling of the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi just a random, natural occurrence? Or, could it be that this devastating blow was dealt by the very hand of God? Well, consider this: In 1986, the Pope invited leaders of all the world's false religions to come to Assisi, Italy for an unholy ecumenical conference. The Pontiff had chosen the site of Assisi because it was from here that St. Francis' ungodly, creation-centered, nature gospel had gone forth.

With the Pope in Assisi were Islamic muftis, Hindu gurus, Jewish rabbis, Protestant leaders, and Buddhist monks. During the conference, the Pope and local Catholic authorities invited the Dalai Lama, the living "god man" of Tibetan Buddhism, and his monks to conduct a Buddhist worship service. That satanically energized service was held at the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi. There, on the church's massive medieval altar, the Dalai Lama placed hideously evil idols and charms, including a statue of Buddha.

Did God rain down destruction on this notorious Basilica as a sign of His anger and displeasure over the sacrilege and blasphemy that occurred inside its ornate walls? I believe the answer is yes. History shows us that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire, Rome by vandals and Huns, Jerusalem by the might of Roman military power, and now the Basilica in Assisi by earthquake. Surely, God will judge the heathen in these last days just as He has always judged sin.

Porno Peddler Larry Flynt is Judged

History is replete with the miserable fate of men and nations who callously and unwisely scorned God and rejected His righteousness. Take Larry Flynt, for example, the publisher of the pornographic magazine, Hustler. Flynt mocked God, claiming to be a born again Christian, but continuing to print and distribute his smut. Soon, a would-be assassin planted a bullet in his spine, paralyzing Flynt for life.

Hitler is Judged

Adolf Hitler persecuted Christians and Jews alike. He intended to install in spiritual power a World Church of the Reich, full of dark occultism and with its organization patterned on the Catholic Jesuit Order. But the Fuhrer did not get the opportunity to put his diabolical plan into operation. By 1945, Hitler was a pitiful, drug-weakened shell of a man sitting on a bed inside a bunker deep inside the earth. Outside and above his Berlin bunker, Hitler's once proud Germany lay tattered. The defeated nation's cities were reduced to smoldering ruins as flames leapt from building to building. And so, the Fuhrer of the Nazi Party put a gun to his head and ended his pitiful existence.

God had seen to Hitler's destiny. The Third Reich the Fuhrer had bragged would "last for a thousand years" went down after 12 short years to a resounding clamor of fire and blood and death.

High Priest of Satan Dies

Anton LaVey blasphemed God and founded his filthy Church of Satan on June 6, 1966 (the 6th month, the 6th day of 66.) A crowd of Hollywood elite soon flocked to his church, including buxom actress Jayne Mansfield and singer-entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. But eventually, membership in his diabolical cult evaporated. Then, on Halloween of last year, the very day when witches and satanists believe the ghouls and spirits come up out of their graves, Anton LaVey died.

News reports said that in the months prior to his passing, Anton LaVey was plagued with depression. Some suggested LaVey had committed suicide. Did the Devil send his spirits out to collect his human disciple that ominous Halloween night? Was this a judgement from God to recompense LaVey for this sick man's overflowing cup of wickedness?

Interestingly, Time magazine noted that on the very night LaVey died, a prominent Rothschild of the Illuminati Dynasty family also passed away in Europe.

Lenin and Trotsky: A Cruel Fate

Vladimir Lenin despised God, and after taking power in Russia in 1917, he and his Communist regime fiercely persecuted Bible believers. But by 1923, just six years later, the hero of the Bolshevik revolution sat wide-eyed and mute in a wheelchair, paralyzed and in a catatonic state. Many suspect that his successor, the monstrous Joseph Stalin, had Lenin's own doctor inject him with poisonous mind and nerve-destroying chemicals.

Three Communists—one fate? Lenin and Trotsky massacred millions of innocent people; Clinton has encouraged the massacre of millions of innocent babies through grotesque abortions. Pray for President Clinton, that the miserable fate of Lenin and Trotsky does not befall him.

In 1924, a year and some months after being confined to a wheelchair, Lenin died, surely being transported to Hell to receive his just reward prepared for him beforehand by devils.

Stalin also took care of another of his archrivals, Lenin's chief comrade, Leon Trotsky. Fearing Stalin's envious wrath, after Lenin's death Trotsky fled the country of Russia and went all the way to Mexico to hide. But the secret police of the butcher of Moscow tracked Trotsky down and murdered him.

Herod Devoured by Worms

The Bible tells us also of King Herod, whose oratory so inspired the Christ-rejecting multitudes. On one speaking occasion, when the adoring crowd acclaimed him a god, Herod's pride soared. At that very moment, God's judgement fell and worms inwardly devoured Herod's body. Stricken, he fell dead. It is a frightful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God!

America to be Judged

Today, Herod, Hitler, Stalin, LaVey, and all the other infamous men of history who died having mocked and rejected God's Truth are in torment in hell. Jesus Christ is their judge, and His judgement is just and right.

But God judges nations as well as people. America has forgotten God, and the Lord has repeatedly sent dire warnings. In recent years, from Florida, Texas and the Midwest, to the East Coast and the Pacific Ocean, America has been battered by tornados, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and floods. Is God not sending us a message?

For example, consider California. First, God sent earthquakes to the Golden State. There was no repentence. Now, He has sent El Ni¤o to savage California. This is a state made infamous by Hollywood's vulgarity and by San Francisco's homosexual barbarity. If its citizens continue to wallow in the mire, what will come next for California?

"Neither Repented They..."

Not just California is at risk. Already, the AIDS plague has devastated the homosexual populations of Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Houston, and Atlanta. Still, the people persist in their grotesque works:

The Wicked Have Their Reward

Some may protest: "But Texe Marrs, not all evildoers are punished. Many of God's people suffer, and multitudes of true Christians are poor and downtrodden. Meanwhile, many of the rich are rewarded. Why are the wicked and deceitful allowed to heap to themselves great wealth?"

In the Bible, the Apostle James addressed this very question (James 2:5-7) when He wrote:

James then declared God's judgment on these wicked rich:

Remember also the story that Jesus our Lord told us of Lazarus and the rich man. The faithful Lazarus, a diseased beggar, went on to his reward in heaven. However, upon dying, the unbelieving, corruptly immoral and uncaring rich man went on to his reward in hell where he suffered the pain of fire and the horror of eternal thirst.

Jesus said of the wicked, "They have their reward," while his message to the saints was: "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven."

Yes, the unrepentent rich and powerful who make merchandise of men's souls (Revelation 18:13) are sometimes at license today to partake of the lusts of the flesh. But the Bible warns that even if they escape God's harsh judgement on this side of the veil, afterwards, their ominous and frightening fate awaits them (Hebrews 9:27).

Judgement Day is Coming

The unescapable truth is that God is merciful and tender. He is a rewarder of those who love Him and who respect His Word. He is quick to forgive and to blot from His memory forever the sins of the saints.

To His beloved, the Lord bequeaths the untold treasures of the Kingdom.

But for those who, in their vile conduct, display mockery and contempt for God, and especially for those who would harm and martyr God's children, Judgement Day lies dead ahead.

Mark this, my friends: Wicked men and women, as well as evildoer nations, are drawn to judgement like a moth to a flame:

Listen to me, then, you who are sinners against the Truth and who defiantly seek to harm the people of God: Your riches, your earthly wisdom, cannot save you in the coming time of trial. Are you ready for His coming? Are you prepared to die? Have you repented, surrendered your will, and been saved by the Blood of the Lamb?

If your answer is no, I beg you: Turn back now and believe in Him. Judgement is even now at your very doorstep.
