Planet Earth has had many conspiracy theories presented to the public. The 9/11 tragedy, the Kennedy Assassination, The Roswell Alien space crash, and the New World Order takeover are just a few. Recently there have been many books, videos, newsletters, and articles that fall under the subject of “conspiracy.”
What does the word “conspiracy” actually mean?
- The act of conspiring
- An Evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot
In Strong’s Concordance we find the word “conspiracy” is mentioned many times in the Old Testament. It comes from the Hebrew word, qesher (keh’-sher) meaning an unlawful alliance—confederacy, conspiracy, treason (Strong’s 7195). We find the word conspiracy once in the New Testament in Acts 23, although the New Testament is full of warnings and prophecies about the last days.
Biblically and historically there have always been conspiracies. Many rulers throughout the world have conspired to take over other nations and peoples. Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus of Persia, Alexander the Great, and Ghengis Khan are but a few. But the most important conspiracy man should be aware of is the conspiracy to eliminate God, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. This is shown throughout the Bible in Isaiah, Psalms, Acts, Hebrews, Romans, Jude, and of course, Revelation.
The war against God and Christ is alive and well. The secret societies that are so often shown ruling the world behind the scenes are laboring to bring man into a global empire, and constantly reveal through their writings and actions their hidden agenda. Upon examination, we realize that their main enemy is our Lord God, Jesus Christ Himself, and they are conspiring to eradicate Him from our history, world, and hearts.
The killing of Christ in Jerusalem, prompted by the Jewish elders, scribes, and chief priests, was the ultimate conspiracy. It was conceived by Satan, as he influenced the wicked men to be blinded and to directly attack Jesus Himself. Satan is behind every conspiracy past, present, and future.
The Bible tells us that rulers and kings would be conspiring again Jesus Christ at the end of the age:
“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed...”

The climatic end of the great conspiracy to rid planet earth of Jesus Christ is found in several chapters of Revelation. Should a true Christian pay attention to conspiracy theories? Do conspiracy theories fit in with the Great Commission? The Word says:
“Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
|
So yes, we should be aware of conspiracies to avoid being deceived.
“For the Lord spake thus to me..., Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
“Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary...”
|
This tells us that indeed, there are conspiracies, but we are not to worry or be fearful of them. As explained to us in Revelation 17:17, God Himself is ultimately directing the outcome of world events. It is up to us to reveal the conspiracies in a light that glorifies the one true God, our Lord Jesus Christ.
