You Are Making a Difference

Begun by Wanda Marrs, the Texas Children’s Home project has been going on for over twenty years. What began as a way to help orphans primarily during the Christmas season has evolved along the way with your help.

    You, the partners of Power of Prophecy, now also assist the children at the beginning of the school year so they can purchase needed school supplies. Your gifts also help those who are graduating from high school and are beginning college and transitioning into the adult world. Also, new children and houseparents each receive a King James Bible.

    Gift cards are also given to the houseparents, some of whom have been at the Home for many, many years. These selfless couples, who live full-time with the children and have sacrificially given of themselves, offer much needed love, guidance and stability to these innocent children. Their emotional support and commitment is priceless as they teach these children about Jesus’ love.

    For some of these children, the Children’s Home is largely where they have been raised. The children who come to the Children’s Home are often lost, hurting, and hopeless, without a place to turn for help during their time of greatest need. They are provided a safe home and a stable family environment where they can learn, grow, and ultimately experience a happy, healthy future.

    Here is just a small sampling of the Thank You notes written by each person (if they are able—some are too young). I want you to know this: Your donations are making a huge difference.

    There has not been a year in which many of these cards have not brought tears to our eyes and this past season is no exception. Michelle, Sandra and I wish to thank you very much for joining with us in this wonderful project.
