Some people continue to tell us that they didn’t agree with Texe’s stand on the Jews. Texe, and we, and all others who expose evil doings of the Jews will be cursed we are told. It must be true, right? Look at the fates of John the Baptist and my Saviour, Jesus—beheaded and crucified for calling the Pharisees, scribes and other elders, a generation of vipers (John the Baptist:Luke & Matt. 3:7; Jesus: Matt. 12:34, 23:33).
Those two little verses in Genesis have been commandeered by those who call themselves Jews and used to propagate and program—a thought pattern—in Christians and the world of their superiority. And, no one dares question the narrative lest they be labeled “antisemitic” and reviled and shunned.
Another Examination of the Genesis 12:2-3
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:” (Genesis 12:2)
|
I don’t believe this is God handing the world to Abram (not yet Abraham) on a silver platter (worldly control and goods). This is no pep-talk by God to build Abrams’s self-esteem. This is saying how renowned will Abraham’s name be as the patriarch of a people/nation imbued with a command for being a testimony and witness of God. This is a call to action and duty! A responsibility.
“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
|
Again, most people apply earthly standards to this verse. I take this spiritually: to mean that if you believe and spread God’s message and testimony (as delivered at that time and now with the New Covenant) you are blessed by God, spiritually. If you impede or otherwise create roadblocks for the work that God called Abram and us to do—being a testimony and witness that reaches all families of the earth—you will be cursed. The blessing is eternal life and the curse is damnation.
An Everlasting Covenant
“And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.” (Genesis 17:7-14)
“And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” (Genesis 22:18)

The Holy Land
A geographical location with much solemn history, is it really about the dirt? Most of the world (Christians and non-Christians) have been programmed into believing that, also. Why did God give Abraham and his seed this plot of dirt—even as an everlasting possession? (This covenant is unbreakably enjoined by “and I will be their God”)? I believe it was to give them sanctuary (a refuge) and sustanance (a living), but more importantly: to keep them focused on the One True God—to keep the population from being influenced by the pagans. I believe this is why God sometimes commanded destruction of every living thing when taking over an area—so as not to bring the corruption back to His people. When Abraham’s seed fell into pagan customs and gods they broke the second, most important part of the covenant, “and I will be their God.” I believe this is what separated them from their everlasting possession and God allowed the dispersement and enslavement. The dirt was of no value in keeping them to Himself.
The Circumcision
Circumcision is a token of the covenant. The real circumcision is of the heart—for those whom He will be their God. God told Abraham to circumcise not only his own family, but the flesh of all males who lived in his house: Born in his house or not, stranger or friend; bond or free; not being a respecter of persons. This is the testimony and witness of God to all regardless of their bloodline. This is Abraham sharing the testimony and witness of God.
John the Baptist Dismisses the Bloodline
“Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” (Luke 3:8)
|
John just dismissed the value of their bloodline, saying God can raise up rocks? Rocks, stones! John reduced their bloodline to none effect and said the stones could be raised up as children to Abraham. How dare John reduce their bloodline to below the value of rocks and call them vipers! But John knows what he is facing—the scribes and Pharisees and those that taught traditions of men (Talmud), rather than the counsel of God (Torah/Bible).
John called out the Jews first because of the responsibility placed on their shoulders by God to lead the way unto Salvation. But John also included all of the people around him, illustrating that in believing, their life/testimony would also be a witness to their heart (Luke 3:10-14).
John goes on to say that the axe was being laid upon those false worshippers—that generation of vipers—the scribes and Pharisees who want for themselves worldly blessings, but whose lack of spiritual fruit bear witness to their departure from the blessing of Abraham. These high priests are not witnesses of God and thus have brought the curse upon them and even those who follow.
Conversation between Jesus and Pharisees and scribes:
“And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others...” (Luke 18:9)
“Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men... And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” (Mark 7:5-9)
|
John the Baptist and Jesus both knew the hearts of the religious leaders of the day—that the Pharisees and scribes had long ago quit following God. They felt their power was threatened. “What if people actually turned back to God and believed on His Messiah rather than their man-made doctrines and traditions?”
In the book of John, chapter 7, Jesus “would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him... The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” Jesus knew that the Pharisees hated Him because Jesus preached His Father’s message, which exposed the Jewish leadership for what is was—Godless, self-serving and evil.
Then, as now, the pressure of Jewish power and leadership was brought to bear, “Howbeit no man spake openly of Him for fear of the Jews” (John 7:13).
Were John the Baptist and Jesus cursed according to Genesis 12:2-3? The world might say so. But as a Bible-believing Christian, I know everyone needs Jesus—every knee shall bow and everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Shouldn’t we be reaching the Jews also and not turning a blind eye? I choose to be a messenger and witness of God and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Lastly, if you are still an apologist for those who call themselves Jews, what about Revelation 2:9 and 3:9—those who call themselves Jews, but are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan? Do their fruits bear witness of our Father, or are they hypocrites; a people who conceal wickedness under a cloak of virtue (we have Abraham to our father—their whited sepulchre [Matt. 23:27])?
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29)
