God has a plan. Sometimes we don’t understand it as we are going through a trying time. We ponder why things happen the way they do. Sometimes, though, we are blessed later to understand that “this” had to happen so “that” could happen.
In the spirit of optimism for Trump draining the swamp, recall that even before he was nominated the first time and continuing ever after, attacks by the left were launched. But to Trump’s surprise the RINOs also reared their ugly heads. Both set out in a devil’s pact to incapacitate and destroy Donald Trump. Even The New York Times (August 13, 2019) headline admitted, “No One Attacked Trump More in 2016 Than Republicans. It Didn’t Work.&ddquo;
Trump’s First Term
During his first term, Trump made gains for America in many areas such as withdrawing us from the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. He also implemented tariffs and new, more favorable international trade agreements. He improved benefits and treatment for Veterans.
He also set out to stop unfriendly immigrants from entering the U.S. with a ban on immigration from known terrorist-harboring countries; he worked to build the border wall to guard our southern border and ended catch-and-release; he created energy independence and refilled the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Unemployment was at long-time lows.
The liberals and RINOs did everything they could to sideline Trump’s first “America First” plan.
What if Trump Had Gained the Presidency in 2020?
Whether we believe Trump lost the 2020 election, or that the election was stolen, I believe it was in God’s plan.

Had Trump won in 2020, he would have been President through all of the years of the Covid fiasco. Trusting swamp monster Anthony Fauci compromised the well-being of the American people. We were put on the path of lies, isolation, double masking and Operation Warp Speed vaccinations. Gas and grocery prices skyrocketed, unemployment went through the roof due to shuttering businesses. Would Trump have been able to beat public hysteria, as well as political and global pressures resulting in a better outcome? Or would his power have been derailed for 2020-2024 due to the Swamp and the Covid trainwreck? We will never know.
Trump’s four years away from the White House gave him time to fight the many slings and arrows hurled at him as he fought for his political life. Timing, they say, is everything.
We Needed Biden
Before you get ready to throw me in the tarpit, hear me out. What gave Trump the victory for this second term, and making him so rapidly successful now, is his own admittance of not understanding the depth and entrenchment of the swamp going into his first term. His four years away gave him distance and perspective. The victory was also won because We, the People lived through the twilight zone that was Biden’s four years.
When Biden and his handlers made their first order of business DEI hiring for his cabinet we knew we were in BIG trouble. Then came the systematic process of undoing nearly everything that Trump accomplished; dismantling of the border fence, opening the flood gates for tsunamis of illegal aliens, including violent criminals and human drug-mules; reinstating all the climate change programs, and you know the rest.
One more defense of saying that Biden was part of God’s plan, in Jeremiah 27:6 the Bible tells us, “And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.” Nebuchadnezzar was not a righteous king, still God appointed Nebuchadnezzar, even calling him “His servant,” to fulfill His will. God uses leaders to carry out His divine plan, sometimes regardless of their moral character.
The Next Four Years
Trump has persevered. He has also been preserved—saved from assassination. America’s political swamp has needed a shaking and draining for far too long. It is ludicrous the wasteful spending and outright scamming that has been uncovered as of this writing.
I am hopeful (but not blind). Things are moving at a whirlwind, chaotic pace which is concerning. But I think I understand why. If you keep the liberals off balance by moving at lightning speed and in many areas at once, it is harder for them to block, and harder for them to organize their roadblocks.

As Jerry’s article this month attests and several recent Power of Prophecy radio programs reveal, we aren’t ignorant of President Trump’s shortcomings. We must pray for discernment and wisdom for him, and for his safety.
