Prosperity Doctrine Is Spiritually Bankrupt

“...henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

Surely the return of Christ is at hand. Jesus laid out the framework of events to occur before his return, including wars and rumors of wars as well as famines and pestilences.
Have not events that transpired beginning in 2020 with the pLandemic, the Russia/Ukraine war, and now the war in Israel and Gaza piqued your interest? No man shall know the hour nor the day when He returns, but we should have been preparing for some time now.
Jesus’ return will be quick and there will be no time to make your peace with Him. Those who are claiming to be Christian, but have disregarded living as Christ has instructed, shall rue the day. Likewise, those who have fallen for the false “Pre-Tribulation Rapture” doctrine espoused by so many false teachers will have their comeuppance.
Doctrines of Devils
Did not the Apostle Paul warn us in 1 Timothy 4:1-2? Paul wrote: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy;”
Our Pastor Emeritus, the late Texe Marrs, authored an outstanding documentary, The Blind & The Dead, exposing these false teachers. His dogged research into the likes of Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, and many others has largely fallen on deaf ears.
As an example of the blasphemous words from the mouths of these popular men, Kenneth Copeland is seen saying, “When I read in the Bible where He says ‘I AM’ I just smile and say, ‘Yes I AM too!’” Recently, Copeland once again twisted Scripture to benefit himself. He stated that not tithing is “akin to carrying a ticking time bomb in their pockets.” Moreover, he claimed “God doesn’t need your money...” but by tithing “He can enter into our affairs and bless us and spend it all back on us.”
We’ve all read the verse that states the “love of money is the root of all evil.” He has become a multi-millionaire on the backs of people who wish to have their ears tickled. With his devotion to the prosperity doctrine, Kenneth Copeland is evil to the bone.
Bethel Church Apostasy
In January of 2023 Copeland was invited to speak at Bethel Church in Redding, California. This is the same church that believed “grave sucking” would fill those who dared with the spirit of previous church leaders!
In a new unearthed clip from “Apostle” Kris Vallotton, the second-in-command at Bethel Church, he says: “Your prayers become prophecy and your words become worlds. And instead of being under the circumstances, you’re over the circumstances and you begin to dictate not just what the devil’s doing bad, but what God wants to do well.”

Kris Vallotton, of Bethany Chapel and co-founder of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and Moral Revolution: False signs and lying wonders, experiential Christianity, prosperity, word-faith, NAR, dominionism, gemstones, gold dust, angel feathers, glory clouds, mandatory healing on demand, grave sucking and deadraising are just a few of his false teachings.

For those who have studied the Babylonian Talmud, the holy book of the Jews, this statement is very much in line with the teaching that when God is perplexed he seeks the advice of the rabbis. How much more blasphemous could this type of thinking be?
Perilous Times Are Upon Us
These are, indeed, perilous times that we are facing. Our politicians are wicked, crime is rampant, demented people are brainwashing our youth into believing they can be any gender they wish, while also driving a wedge between these children and their parents. Lies and deception abound at every turn.
The public’s trust in long-respected institutions is in a steep decline. With the medical establishment acquiescing to “woke” doctrines, Big Pharma pushing poison under the guise of vaccines, and the amount of vile actions by socialist progressives against Pro-Life supporters, our nation is on the precipice of a total collapse.
In typical fashion, Texe Marrs wrote of these “Crazy Times” to come in his last book, Psychopaths: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Big Tech and the controlled media—along with members of our federal government—are implementing unprecedented censorship of true Christians with a Godly message.
More and more pastorates are being filled with those who dare only speak of “tolerance,” “love,” and “inclusiveness.” Their messages are leading their like-minded followers straight to the gates of hell. The book of Amos speaks of this:

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it” (Amos 8:11-12).

Will God Continue to Bless America?
America has brought judgment upon itself. Once a nation with a heritage of loving God, we have booted Him out. How can one expect any blessings from Him when He is no longer welcomed? Should we expect more lawlessness to ensue?
These prosperity spewing devils who have perfected the art of tickling the ears of the masses have aided in the erosion of our nation’s morals. Apathy has been building towards its zenith for decades.
Jesus warned us to be prepared:

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21: 34-36).

The only option facing Christians today is to place our future in the hands of Jesus. We must be spiritually prepared to face the upcoming calamity. The Apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 12:1-3:

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”.

Many so-called Christians do not possess the peace of Jesus. Instead, they have turned or returned to New Age belief systems like yoga, meditation, and other self-help gurus.
We have been forewarned numerous times that when Jesus returns it will be quickly. We all need to be spiritually prepared today. Our freedom from fear will only grow as we allow our faith and trust in Him to abound.
